God speaks to His children

Matthew says, “Blessed are those who make peace, for they shall be called children of God.” The story of Samuel teaches us something about this. Samuel could hear what God wanted to say, and he did what God told him to do. Even today we can listen to what God wants to say to us and create peace where we are. This is the theme for this week’s Sunday School.

The story about Samuel

In this episode of Bible Detectives, we hear the story about Samuel from the Bible. The story begins with Hanna who had a great sorrow in her life. She really wanted a child and she went to God with a prayer that if he would give her a child she would give the child back to God. And that´s what happened. Samuel grew up in the temple and as time passed he learned to hear the voice of God. In this episode, the Bible Detectives wonder if we can also hear God’s voice where we are, and Grandpa explains a little about this. When we hear the voice of God in our hearts, and do what God tells us, then we become good peacemakers. It will be good around us and inside us.
