Josiah – true and righteous
A compelling story about a young boy who is crowned king at the age of eight, in a world filled with evil and unrighteousness. Despite the lack of good examples among his predecessors, Josiah grows up to be a true and righteous king.
The film is about eight-year-old Josiah, the country’s new king. “You’re going to need some good advisors,” says his sister Amona after the coronation. And that’s true. The king who was before Josiah was not a good king; he was evil, and he chose idolaters as his counselors. But Josiah is true and righteous, and chooses a different direction than his father. Shaphan becomes an important advisor and support as the king grows up and has to make important choices for his country. But his father’s counselors won’t make it easy for the new king. Still, when Josiah is 18 years old, the lost book of the law is found. Everything is now ready to reintroduce God’s law in the country.
